Lawrence Beemer


Larry brings to CLM Advisors clients more than 35 years in the insurance industry.  His practice with CLM Advisors focuses primarily on consulting on claims leadership, technical training, litigation management and bad faith as well as being an expert witness.

Larry’s background is extensive and encompasses the management of on both primary and excess claims in the standard lines as well as niche areas such as Construction Defect, Latent Injury, Entertainment Bad Faith and Professional Liability claims

Larry has been part of the CLM advisory board since inception.  He is one of 4 people that developed and runs the Litigation Management Institute hosted yearly at Loyola law school in Chicago. He received is CLMP designation the first year LMI was established.  He has been a speaker at every CLM National Meeting since 2007 as well as at other CLM specialty conferences.   Larry has also authored multiple articles for Claims and Litigation Management Magazine. Larry has testified as a Person Most Knowledgeable (PMK) in multiple cases for several carriers.  He has also testified as an expert witness.

Prior to joining CLM advisors Larry was the Vice President of claims and litigation management at QBE insurance responsible for all Auto, GL, CD, Environmental liability claims as well as TPA oversight for the company. Prior to this Larry worked at Fireman’s Fund where he provided leadership over the Construction Defect/Latent Injury and Entertainment claims department. Prior to Fireman’s Fund Larry worked at a TPA known as Risk Enterprise Management (REM).  At REM Larry managed a large claim department handling Auto, GL, CD, Environmental and Property claims. Larry was involved in Marketing and Sales as the Casualty Claim Manager for REM and for a short time was the Chief Technical Officer for the company.
